In the fourth grade when I managed to get straight A’s, my mom took me to Sears and said I could choose a record as a reward. As soon as my eyes latched onto the Monkees’ “Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, ltd.” (released that day, fifty years old this past November) I snagged it and it has been one of my favorite records ever since.
